Chynalls Point and Terence Coventry Scuplture Park
Distance 2.6 miles. Elevation 384ft. Time approx 1 hour.
This walk takes you from the hotel through the picturesque village of Coverack and along part of the stunning South West Coast Path, towards the dramatic headland known as Chynalls Point, once the site of an ancient Iron Age cliff castle.
From Chynalls Point, (please note the cliff path from Chynalls Points is quite steep and uneven and involves some climbing and scrambling over rocks) continue on to the Terence Coventry Sculpture Park, which is open all year round and free for visitors to enjoy. Here, you will find a range of sculptures exhibited across three meadows, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the sea, before making your way back to the hotel.
As you stroll along you may be able to spot swallows gracefully sweeping through the air, fishing boats setting out to sea, and a variety of wildflowers gently bobbing their heads in the refreshing sea breezes.

Trewillis and Black Head
Distance 4.5 miles. Elevation 433 ft. Time approx 1 hour, 45 minutes.
An invigorating scenic walk, taking you past the quaint thatched cottages of Coverack Village and on through the ancient hamlets of Trewillis and Treleaver.
As you leave Treleaver and join the coastal footpath you will be treated to sweeping sea views towards Lizard Point and Lizard Lighthouse before heading onwards to Black Head.
At Black Head there is a tiny Coastguard Hut with seating outside where you can rest, soak up the spectacular views and see if you can spot the basking sharks which frequent the seas here. Once you pass Black Head you see views across Chynall’s Point, Lowland Point, Falmouth Bay and beyond before heading back towards Coverack.
Grazing ponies control the gorse here, allowing the rare and beautiful plants The Lizard is famous for to thrive. Look out for bloody cranesbill, blue spring squill and yellow-flowered camomile that forms a soft carpet underfoot.

Lowlands & Godrevy
Distance 6 miles. Elevation 577ft. Time approx 2 hours, 30 minutes.
Turning left at the bottom of the hotel drive, this walk takes you along the footpath towards Lowland Point.
During this walk you will be able to see out towards the infamous group of rocks known as the Manacles. The tips of the rocks may be visible depending on the tides, the rock formation is hidden close to the surface of the sea and is responsible for many a shipwreck and some of the unfortunate sailors now lie in graves in St Keverne Church.
Take time to enjoy the views at Godrevy Cove before reaching Dean Quarry, no longer in use but now a haven for wildlife.
Heading inland you come across a stack of granite rocks known as Giants Quoits before heading back towards Coverack via the wildlife ponds at Roskillys.
Look out for seals and cormorants and the remains of the old Trebarveth Salt Works dating back to 2nd century AD.
