Walking the South West Coast Path

If you are walking the South West Coast Path and looking for somewhere to put your feet up for a night or two, look no further!

The Bay Hotel is conveniently situated on the South West Coast Path in West Cornwall on the UK’s southernmost peninsula, The Lizard. We are the perfect mid way stop between the Helford and Lizard stretch of the coast path - approximately 4 miles from Porthallow, the mid-point of the South West Coast Path and approximately 9 miles from the Helford River, which leads onto the Fal Estuary, marking the end of this section of the path. Should you require dropping off or picking up on your walk, we are happy to provide you with the number for our local taxi service. We can also provide a Hikers Pack Lunch for your journey if required.

Our rooms all have sea views and our restaurant, lounge and terrace have stunning views over Coverack Bay and Coverack’s historic harbour. If you are walking with your four legged friend, we welcome dogs and even provide a personalised doggy welcome pack! Come and relax and enjoy our delicious food, selection of Cornish gins and beers and our organic wines before resuming your walk feeling refreshed and revitalised.
