Charter your own skippered, private yacht on the stunning Lizard peninsula in Cornwall, exclusively available to you through The Bay Hotel. This unique experience is perfect for a romantic trip, memorable celebration or special anniversary. You will be looked after from the moment you begin your trip with your skipper and yacht owner, Simon Fayers collecting you from The Bay Hotel, driving you to your yacht, Shebeca, and returning you to the hotel afterwards. Have a go at helming and trimming sails or just let your skipper do the work while you relax.
Shebeca is a classic 8m long, fully coded and MCA compliant longkeeler, skippered by her owner Simon Fayers. Simon is an RYA commercial Yachtmaster with over 30 years experience in offshore sailing and 14 years as navigator on the Lizard’s RNLI lifeboat so you can relax and enjoy your trip knowing you are in safe hands.

Celebrating a Special Occasion?
Take a romantic river trip for two on the Helford River, including the world famous Frenchman's Creek. Experience the local wildlife, hidden inlets and scenic points of interest from this enchanting stretch of water. You will be collected from the Bay and spend 3 hours out on the water before being dropped off back at the hotel. An evening trip can be arranged depending on tide times. If you would like to take a cool hamper of half a dozen oysters and a half bottle of champagne, just ask!

Adventure on the High Sea!
You start your adventure by being collected from the Bay Hotel before joining your yacht, on the Helford River, for a 4 hour sailing cruise either into picturesque Falmouth Bay or towards Coverack, depending on tide and winds, before returning to the Helford River and being dropped off back at the hotel. See the Lizard from the water where you will get the opportunity to spot the local wildlife and although we can’t guarantee it, with any luck a dolphin or two! Private charter for up to 2 persons. We can provide you with a picnic hamper if required.
£220 for 2 people.
Please note that trips operate from April to October each year. all safety equipment is provided with no experience necessary. Trips are provided by Lizard Sailing Trips operating as a separate entity. If the weather is inclement on the day of your booking another date or refund can be arranged.
